In short
Plug has no ads, analytics, tracking or app account. Your item presets stay on your device. During export, Terraria connects to a temporary server inside Plug on the same device; that session is not sent to us. Plug makes small first-party requests for current legal pages and optional information about our other apps, without sending your presets or an app identifier. Information otherwise leaves Plug only when you choose support or an external link.
Who operates this app
Plug for Terraria is operated by Innovative Developers LTD (“Innovative Developers”, “we”, “us” or “our”), a company registered in England and Wales under company number 09011626. Information kept on your device
Your ten item presets and selected preset are stored in the app's Keychain access group. The bundled item catalogue and export configuration are also cached locally. A one-time migration moves older preset data from app preferences into Keychain. Review-prompt eligibility counters and dates stay in app-owned preferences. Plug does not read Terraria save files, your Photos, Contacts, microphone, camera, location, pasteboard or user-selected files.
When you export, the app briefly buffers Terraria network frames in memory. The temporary TCP and UDP services bind to the loopback address, so the export session stays on the same device. Release builds do not enable packet logging.
First-party pages and optional app promotion
Privacy and Terms open with a copy included in the app while Plug checks the matching page on innovative-devs.com. The Home screen can also request a small JSON manifest that contains reviewed text and the exact address of our Plug app collection. The optional promotional card stays hidden if that request is unavailable or invalid. These requests use an ephemeral session with cookies and caching disabled. They send no preset content, player name, account identifier, advertising identifier or analytics identifier.
Third-party services and links
Plug uses Apple's iOS, App Store, StoreKit and Keychain services. After enough successful exports and a respectful delay, Plug may ask StoreKit to display Apple's system review prompt. Apple controls whether it appears and any rating activity; Plug receives no rating or reviewer identity. Apple explains its handling of information in the Apple Privacy Policy. Terraria Mobile is required and sold separately; its publisher and developer handle information within Terraria under their own notices.
The Help menu can open our pages on Facebook, X and Discord. The Plug collection can open App Store listings. These links open only when you tap them. Their apps or websites may receive your IP address, device/browser information, cookies and account activity. Plug neither receives nor controls that information.
CocoaAsyncSocket source is compiled into Plug to run the local export server. It is a software library, not an analytics service or external data recipient. The app contains no advertising, analytics, attribution, crash-reporting, login, subscription, cloud-storage or in-app-purchase SDK.
Legal bases
Where UK or European data-protection law applies, we process the limited first-party web request data to deliver and secure the pages you request and for our legitimate interests in operating the app safely. We process information you deliberately send to support because it is necessary to respond to your request or perform our agreement with you. We may retain limited correspondence where necessary for support, preventing misuse, handling disputes or complying with legal obligations.
Retention and deletion
You can remove user-entered preset content by using Clear All on each preset. Because Plug uses iOS Keychain storage, its records may remain after uninstall and can reappear after reinstall. Clearing all presets before uninstall removes the user-entered item content from those records. The remaining cached catalogue and configuration contain no user-entered information. We cannot access or remotely delete data that stays only on your device.
To request deletion of support correspondence or exercise a privacy right, email us. We will delete or restrict the information unless we must retain it for a legal obligation, security issue or dispute.
Security and international transfers
We limit the information the app handles, use iOS Keychain for local persistence, keep export traffic on loopback and use HTTPS for first-party pages. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure. Web hosting, support email and external services may process information in countries outside your own. Where we control a transfer, we use safeguards required by applicable law; external services describe their own transfer arrangements in their policies.
Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to processing, receive a portable copy, withdraw consent, or complain to a data-protection authority. Email us with the subject “Plug for Terraria privacy request”. We may need enough information to verify and answer the request, but we cannot retrieve local-only app data from your device.
Children
Plug may be used by children, so we keep the app free of ads, tracking and accounts. Presets and export sessions stay on the device. A child should ask a parent or guardian before contacting support or opening an external service, because those services can collect information under their own rules. A parent or guardian who believes a child sent us personal information can email us to request deletion.
Changes
We will update the date above when this policy changes materially. We will provide an additional notice where applicable law requires it. The current policy remains available at this stable URL.
