Plug for Stardew Valley

Terms of Use

These terms explain the sensible rules for using Plug: use it on saves you are entitled to edit, keep backups, close the game before applying changes and do not use modifications to harm other players or services.

1. Acceptance and eligibility

These Terms of Use ("Terms") are between you and Innovative Developers LTD ("we", "us" or "our"), company number 09011626. By downloading or using Plug for Stardew Valley ("Plug" or the "app"), you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app. If you are not old enough to agree to contracts where you live, a parent or guardian must review and accept these Terms for you.

Apple's Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies to the licence supplied through the App Store. These Terms supplement that agreement and do not replace any mandatory rights it gives you.

2. What Plug does

Plug's core save-editing tools work offline. The app reads and edits compatible Stardew Valley save files selected by you. It can stage changes to items, farmer data, relationships, crops, unlocks and other supported save values, then write the reviewed changes back to the selected folder. The Privacy Policy and Terms included with the app remain readable offline; checking for current updates, opening support links and viewing the Plug app collection use an internet connection. Stardew Valley is required, sold separately and is not included with Plug.

3. Licence and permitted use

Subject to these Terms and Apple's Standard EULA, we grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use Plug on Apple devices you own or control as permitted by Apple's rules. You may use the app for lawful, personal purposes. You may not resell, sublicense, distribute, reverse engineer or exploit the app except where applicable law expressly permits it.

4. Your saves and backups

• Only edit saves that you own or have permission to edit.
• Close Stardew Valley before applying changes in Plug so the game and Plug do not write the same save at once.
• Check that Plug has loaded the latest farm progress before editing.
• Review every staged change before applying it.
• Keep a separate copy of any important farm.

Plug normally creates timestamped local backups before writing and validates the edited files. These protections reduce risk but cannot guarantee that every save, device failure, game update, mod or unusual file will be recoverable.

5. Fair and lawful use

Do not use Plug to disrupt multiplayer sessions, deceive or harass other people, gain unauthorised access, bypass security, damage a service, distribute unlawful content or break applicable game, platform or server rules. You are responsible for understanding the rules of any shared game or service in which you use an edited save.

6. Purchases and refunds

Any purchase price, payment processing and App Store refund request are handled by Apple under its terms. The current version of Plug contains no in-app purchases or subscription. Your statutory rights are not affected.

7. Compatibility and updates

Plug is designed for the compatible mobile save formats described on its App Store page. Game, iOS or file-format updates may change compatibility. Modded, damaged, incomplete, cloud-conflicted or future saves may not work as expected. We may update, change or discontinue features where reasonably necessary for compatibility, security, legal or operational reasons.

8. Stardew Valley and third-party services

Plug is an independent, unofficial fan-made utility. It is not Stardew Valley, and it is not affiliated with, authorised by or endorsed by ConcernedApe or the game's publishers. Stardew Valley and related names, characters and other intellectual property belong to their respective owners. Buying Plug does not grant rights in Stardew Valley.

Apple, Files, email, Cloudflare, Discord, X, Facebook and any other external service are operated by third parties under their own terms. We are not responsible for a third-party service, its availability or its content. The optional Plug app collection may change as apps are added, updated or removed.

9. Privacy

Plug's save editing works locally and does not upload your save data to us. Our Privacy Policy explains local files, the small app-collection request, optional support and external links in detail.

10. Disclaimers and liability

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation. Nothing in these Terms limits mandatory consumer rights.

Subject to those protections, Plug is provided on an “as available” basis. We do not promise that every save, mod, game version or third-party service will be compatible or uninterrupted. We are not responsible for loss caused by changes you request, using the app while the game is open, ignoring warnings, third-party changes, or failing to keep a reasonable backup. Where the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss that was not reasonably foreseeable when you began using the app.

11. Suspension and termination

You may stop using Plug at any time by deleting it. We may suspend support or terminate your licence if you materially breach these Terms, subject to applicable law. Deleting Plug does not delete Stardew Valley saves or PlugBackups stored outside the app's own container.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms when the app, law or our services change. We will post the revised Terms at this stable URL and update the effective date. If a material change needs your agreement, we will provide appropriate notice.

13. Governing law and consumer rights

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. If you are a consumer, you keep any mandatory protections provided by the law of the country where you live and may be entitled to bring proceedings in your local courts.
